Anthony W Dinan, Managing Director of Thomas Crosbie Holdings Limited has today announced his retirement on 30 June 2010 on completion of 30 years service.
Dinan, aged 62, joined the Irish Examiner in 1980 as Financial Controller and having held a number of positions including HR Director, Financial Director and Company Secretary, he became Managing Director of Thomas Crosbie Holdings in 1994.
He oversaw the expansion of the company from owners of the Examiner, the Evening Echo, The Waterford News and Star to where it is today as owner of 15 regional newspapers, as well as the Sunday Business Post, radio stations and online businesses.
He has been a leading figure in the Cork business scene for many years and was Cork Business Man of the Year in 2006. Thomas Crosbie Holdings Limited was ESAT Cork Chamber of Commerce Company of the Year in 2001.
